Paranjape Schemes to Host 16th Edition of Ganarang Cultural Initiative on October 4, 2026

Paranjape Schemes to Host 16th Ganarang Cultural Celebration

Paranjape Schemes (Construction) Ltd. is set to host the 16th edition of Ganarang, its annual cultural initiative for residents, on October 4, 2026. The programme brings together residents through music, dance, theatre and other performing arts, with participation now extending across more than 50 societies.

From Four Societies to a City-Wide Platform

The initiative, which has been held for 15 years, has grown from four or five participating societies to a larger community platform. Ganarang has expanded over the years to involve more than 50 societies and over 5,000 participants. It brings children, younger residents and senior citizens, including residents of Athashri communities, together through rehearsals, auditions and performances.

Philosophy Behind the Initiative

The initiative was started around the idea that residential development should also provide opportunities for residents to interact and build relationships within their communities. According to Managing Director Shashank Paranjape, the idea behind Ganarang came from the role that cultural festivals can play in bringing families and communities together. He said the initiative was built around the belief that a home should form part of a larger community where residents can create shared memories and celebrate together.

Community Preparation and Participation

Director – Business Development Amit Paranjape said preparations for the event begin well before the final performances. Clubhouses are used for rehearsals, auditions and practice over two to three months, with residents from different age groups working together. Several societies now conduct their own auditions, making the preparation process an important part of the experience for participants.

The 2025 edition saw the initiative continue to expand, with Paranjape Schemes reporting participation from more than 25 societies and over 5,000 people. The final event was held in Pune in September 2025.

Part of a Wider Community Network

The programme has become part of Paranjape Schemes' wider community activities. The developer's Happiness Network also includes events such as the Paranjape Schemes Premier League and Anandghan, aimed at connecting residents across its developments.
